Philippe Gaulier’s book TORMENTER was translated into Chinese and published in Taiwan. If you are a Chinese speaker, you can visit this link. I appreciate the work of the translators: Anthony Wong and Alvin Chiam. A big thank you also to Olivia Yang and Ling Tang for their valuable help.
It will also soon be available for purchase in our online shop (after March 2025).

GREETING TO THE WORLD
Since I was hospitalized in January 2024, I have received many get-well messages from around the world. Thank you very much.
But don’t start crying for me just yet — I don’t think I’m going to die anytime soon. The funeral is still a long way off.
After 3 months, I returned home from the hospital and have made a full recovery. However, I took my doctor’s advice:
“Philippe, you’re now over 81 years old. It’s time to stop working and make way for the next generation.”
But don’t worry, I’ve asked Michiko (my wife) to continue running the school alongside my best assistants (Carlo, Susana, Dain, Manu, Mark, Thomas, Ben, Juri, Paddy, etc.). I trust Michiko completely. After 25 years at the school and 25 years together with me, she has truly understood the spirit of the teaching. We think about freedom, and we play with freedom. The most important thing is to find a creative path for each student. The school is a path toward freedom.
I thought I could finally relax and enjoy my second life, but Michiko, my charming wife, shouted at me as usual:
“Philippe! You have to write! Your students are waiting for your voice! Don’t be a lazy old man!”
So, here I am, back on the website. I will publish articles from time to time.
